With a broken trolley , no sign of our apron order and missing juicer pieces , we’re taking the next few days to do some house keeping as we count down the days to the launch of the juice academy ,
but without further ado ..
Let’s time travel back to Thursday evening ,
An informative evening with Dr Charles S Finch III
Being an evening event , we decided to go with a refreshing menu consisting of mainly water based gourds … not being able to locate Honeydew we opted a Watermelon combination , alongside a green juice consisting of Cucumber , Granny Smith , Mint , Lime and Ginger, the green superfood shots consisted of Moringa,Wheatgrass , Barley Grass and Chlorella – Good for the blood , easy on digestion
This individual luckily snapped up one the last Green Juices
Couldn’t help but notice the speed in which Grace’s vegan cakes disappeared … making sure we put in a rsvp for a naugty Rum cake and a slice of the Banana Sponge !!
A great end to the week …
Then we started preparing ourselves to deliver a micro workshop for the young people celebrting 15 years of Black Men of London at the Masbro Centre in Shepherds Bush .
One of the fun things about this enterprise is that we get to put on many hats , in this case the Juice Lady got to don trainer’s and track bottoms ,
The 100 Black Men of London are a community based charity led by Black men, delivering programmes and activities focused on Mentoring, Education, Health & Wellness, Economic Empowerment and Leadership.
So Kudos to Orange moon for organising such a energy fueled event under the theme of Health and Wellbeing , not only celebrating their work but making sure that everyone was kept on their toes (facilitators included)
Fitness instructer , Schools and Youth facilitator Kat Francois started the day with a heart pumping session that got everyone in the mood to move !
Attendee’s got to participate in a Martial Arts workshop conducted by Mashuffa an
African based Martial Arts
whilst over in the motivation room One young diamond took the inevitability challenge and bagged himself a book and £20 for using his initative .
Motivational session with Inevitability Coach and Activational Speaker Mervyn Barrett ..
And we were pleased to complete the day with a thirst quenching session ..
No Juicer was required as we were asked to deliver a micro smoothie workshop to around 50 young people , their parents and mentor’s .
We discussed the sugar content of today’s best selling fizzy drinks and negative effects of drinking them frequently , it is good to know that teenagers are becoming a little more clued up about the content of their drinks but more importantly are still open minded enough to try raw spinach ..
Everone left with massive smiles on their faces , the outcome of the day was definitely achieved and each and every attendee , took something away with them !
Good night folk’s, here’s to another week ..
Whatever you do , Make it Fruitfull x
